This nail gun is a game-changer! I can run it all day on one battery. The 15 GA is a perfect gauge for an all-around finish gun whether I am hanging doors or shooting on molding. The angled clip feature is really nice when doing crown molding. I thought the gun would be slow and have to wind up between every fire, but when switching to the rapid-fire mode it is just as fast as a pneumatic gun, not that you need to fire fast when doing trim work anyway. It has no problem driving 2 1/2 nails into walls when hanging doors. When shooting into softer materials such as cabinet base, I have found that by not pressing so hard on the nose it doesn't drive the nail all the way through the 1/4 material which is really nice. Recently I was on a very cold job site and my air compressor and pneumatic farming nailer kept freezing up. Not this though. The flexvolt batteries handled the cold with no problem and the gun did great! It is so nice not to have to load the air compressor into the truck to go to every job. Will definitely be purchasing the battery framing gun soon!

Used in residential construction
The best thing about this is no need for fuel. When using it the gun gives a feeling that it is solid and gives the nail a good thump. It doesn't seem to use any battery power and coupled with a 1.7Ah powerstack battery it will go for days, The rubber grip feels good in the hand, the belt hook is solid and a great shape. the body is well build but the magazine could do with holding a few more nails. It doesnt need to be longer, just the spring/retaining system to be shorter. A few times I have ran out of nails and had the unit continue to fire. But there are warnings about that in the instructions. It functions well in all finishing applications and does fire through thin steel.

Not really made for people who use nail guns on a daily basis. I think I’ve had it for about 1 1/2 years and it’s for the most part completely out of commission. Found myself going back to the ol compressor and hose set up. Also, it has a lack of adjustments for power when going into different materials. Blows through a lot of softer / thinner materials regardless of the depth setting you use. I expected more for a $300 + gun.

Cord/Hoseless Convenience and Mobility
I've owned this nailer for a few years now and I'm reminded what a great investment it is every time I pull It out of it's case. It's quick loading, takes a wide range of nail lengths and runs all day (approx. 400 shots and still uses minimal battery energy. I used to drag a comppressor out , untangle the air hose, wait for air pressure and then start work. No more. The wait time, noise and hoses are history. This product is the present an future of finish nailing. I work for a contractor so I use this gun for all types of trim, trim boards and baseboard with impressive production results. It's commercial quality tough but light and compact for any DIY projects. Like I said, DeWalt is the present and future of power tools.

After multiple nailers, this is the one
In the past year, we have trimmed out over 100 apartment units and multiple other residential and commercial buildings. Early on we knew we wanted a cordless finish nailer bc of the amount of stairs we walked and not wanting to drag a compressor and hose up 3 flight. So of course we went cheap to get the job done. Needless to say after 4 different brands of nailers, dewalt’s 15 ga is hands down the best gun. From its precision nose (with 3 extra rubber tips) to its 16” flip down gauge for speedy stud location, I will never own another gun. In fact after having 5 grand worth of tools stolen from a job site, the first thing we went and replaced was the nailer and dewalts superior miter saw. One 5 amp battery lasts us all day and the guns craftsmanship is above and beyond. This tool is a must have for commercial trim work and well worth the money!
