Greenlee Crimping Tools
Greenlee provides professional crimping tools in both battery-powered and mechanical models for electrical work. Their battery models feature advanced PowerSense and Intelligent Crimping technologies that monitor each crimp cycle, require less force than traditional tools, and offer faster cycle times with long-lasting lithium-ion batteries. Many include LED indicators and Bluetooth connectivity for diagnostics. The mechanical lineup features synchronized die systems with color-coded rotating dies that prevent mismatched crimps and reduce setup time. Both options cover extensive wire ranges for copper and aluminum conductors with various die profiles for different connector types.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right bender for my conduit size?
How do I choose the right bender for my conduit size?
Match the bender to your most common conduit sizes. Popular options include 1/2" to 2" for mechanical benders, and 1/2" to 4" for hydraulic models. Consider getting a bender that handles your primary size plus one size larger for flexibility.
Can I use the same bender for EMT, rigid, and IMC conduit?
Can I use the same bender for EMT, rigid, and IMC conduit?
Most Greenlee benders are designed for specific conduit types. EMT benders work specifically with EMT (electrical metallic tubing), while rigid benders handle rigid steel conduit. IMC (intermediate metal conduit) typically requires its own tooling due to wall thickness differences.
What's the advantage of the roller support system?
What's the advantage of the roller support system?
The roller support guides the conduit through the bend, preventing kinking and ensuring smooth radius formation. This is especially important for IMC and rigid conduit, which are less forgiving than EMT.
What's the main difference between the 555RSC and other Greenlee benders?
What's the main difference between the 555RSC and other Greenlee benders?
The 555RSC is part of the Classic Series featuring simple relay controls that make field repairs easier and more cost-effective. The compact handle design prevents interference with conduit during bending operations, which is a common issue with larger benders in tight spaces.
What should I do if the bender won't reach the correct angle?
What should I do if the bender won't reach the correct angle?
Check for proper conduit seating in the shoe, ensure adequate hydraulic fluid levels, and verify that the correct shoe group is installed. Worn shoes or low fluid are common causes of angle inconsistencies.
