History of Heated Gear

In 2010, Milwaukee broke new ground with the introduction of the first heated jacket and apparel, which was a game-changer for professionals on the jobsite. For Milwaukee, launching the new product was about more than just innovation; it stemmed from listening to workers' frustrations with inconsistent warmth from other heated apparel and inadequate cold protection during the winter.

Investing heavily in user-focused research and cutting-edge technology resulted in Milwaukee creating the heated jacket that provided consistent warmth while enhancing user comfort and mobility on the jobsite. 

Over the years, the heated gear lineup expanded to include heated vests, hoodies, and power sources to ensure tradesmen have access to reliable cold-weather gear great for layering.

Today, Milwaukee’s heated gear is known for delivering consistent, controlled warmth in cold conditions, whether in a warehouse or outdoors. Milwaukee strives to provide improved industry innovation to keep users comfortable longer for better productivity. This evolution in their product line emphasizes Milwaukee’s dedication to keeping workers safe, comfortable, and productive, no matter how harsh the weather is on the jobsite.

Next Generation of Heated Gear

Milwaukee’s M12 Heated Gear lineup now features improved, cutting-edge HEXON Heat Technology. This technology ensures that users get warm in under two minutes and offers 40 times more heat coverage than previous models, all while being lightweight and flexible.

The new heated gear power source can power all M12 gear, including HEXON-equipped apparel, charges under an hour, and supports bi-directional USB-C charging. HEXON Heated Gear Technology also now lets you control heat zones through the new Heated Gear App, giving users more control over customizing runtime and settings.

Milwaukee ensures compatibility across generations with their Next Gen Power Sources, but keep in mind that Gen 1 power sources only work with older gear. Milwaukee’s latest innovations are all about keeping you warm and comfortable on the job.
