Bosch 11255VSR Bosch BULLDOG Xtreme 1" SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer

Have had this model for several years. As others say, with a good bit, this tool will bore a hole through concrete like a knife through butter. I also used a wide scraper bit to easily remove an old ceramic tile floor. It is an indispensable tool for heavy-duty work.

I'm a homeowner who bought this tool 1.5 years ago and have used for two different bathroom projects to break up tile - once when I first bought it and again this week for a second bathroom renovation. When it works, it's really great! Unfortunately in my case, today it started smoking and sparking in the motor compartment half way through our tile demo. Immediately stopped using it, looked up the warranty and sad to find out it's out of warranty (1 year warranty). Called Bosch and their customer support was very good (rare to find these days) - didn't wait long, the agent was very knowledgeable and supportive but the best they can offer is that I can send it back to Bosch for repair (max total repair cost = $142 including shipping) and will take 5-7 days without shipping to repair. Given a new tool costs in the $200 range and I'm in middle of project I now either need to pause the project for 2 weeks for a $142 repair or go buy another new Bosch/explore different brands. I understand the 1 year warranty so not complaining about that but for a tool of this brand reputation to break after two light-duty uses is disappointing. Wish there was a better warranty or Bosch offered better options for cases like this.

Great tool. Will be great to use on a couple more projects I have. Easy to use and not so heavy or loud as some I've seen. Drill and Hammer action works great...put in sump pump - great tool.

It’s amazing! Drilled through 4” of concrete in less than 15 seconds.

Used with Bosch 4 1/2” hammer bit and had no difficulties drilling holes in basement concrete walls and attaching 2x4’s with Tapcon screws. Easy to load and use. Avoided cheaper hammer drills where reviewers noted burnout issues after just a few holes. Very glad I did. Fifteen holes so far and drill and bit still working smoothly.

I bought this approximately two weeks ago prior to that I was using a basic hammer drill. And when you're trying to tapcon 1000 square feet of subfloor to a concrete slab tends to be challenging. I just happened to Waka by this tool in the clearance section So I decided to give it a go. And all I have to say is wow. .. It cut my time almost at have went through the concrete side like butter. And four light jackhammering Order to relocate the basement Ruffins. It worked very well. . I'm no professional. But I can tell you one thing. This tools well worth the money. It made my job a lot easier. I highly recommended.

I tore up 260 sq ft of Saltillo tile with this thing. Took me WAY less time than I expected (4-5 hours and it doesn’t shake you up at all. Hardly any of the shock from the hammering was transferred to my arms and hands. This thing never quit through the entire job. I would 100% recommend this to anyone.

I bought this to make holes in concrete to fasten insulation. Simply put it works well and will be a tool that I’ll use as the situation demands

I bought the rotor hammer 5 days ago, should have bought it years ago. Drills through concrete like butter. I'm expecting it to last me years.
