Doesn't cut straight
Doesn't make straight cuts, it walks away from you even with a small amount of pressure. Slight pressure and you can see the disc bend away from the original entry cut. I should have researched before I purchased - the whole point of buying a chop saw was to help make straight cuts faster.

WON'T CUT SQUARE
The rear gate does not lock well into place and will not stay square. The motor mount won't stay square also. Nice motor and blade safety.

DeWalt
This device is a working donkey, it performs the most difficult tasks, I cut a piece of solid steel with a thickness of 10 cm. Before this device, I had a device from a well-known company that did not last for several weeks and burned, and I also looked at a device from another well-known company, but not the quality of this product. It really is a device that deserves appreciation, and before this appreciation for the company that made such a device, it is a distinctive mark DeWalt

Decent build quality, but cuts aren't square
I purchased this just last weekend. Looks nice, decent enough quality, vice clamp is good. Fence and lock down design could be better. I returned to lowes because the cuts are not even close to being square and blade wobble and deflection is horrible. Tried making cuts slow, extra slow, medium speed. I even went and purchased a different blade with the same results. I didn't expect perfect cuts but these were not acceptable for a dewalt product. I've always been pleased with dewalt products from the table saw, drills, 1/2" impact, miter saw, jig saw, blower, trimmer and pole saw.

Does The Job
I've had this saw for about 5.5 years and no problems yet. This is a good saw. Plenty of power. Good features. It turns out I don't use the quick change blade system that much because the blades last quite a while. But I use the quick change fence enough that i wouldn't want to use a saw without it. Maybe a non quick change fence would stay in one place a little better though. If you clamp your piece too tight it can push the fence back and sometimes mess up the angle. But if that happens, it only takes a couple seconds to put it back (instead of a couple minutes). I think if i didn't have the quick change fence, i would avoid adjusting it whenever possible. The quick release screw is also a must have. There is a couple things this saw won't do very well. It's not the saws fault, it's just the nature of an abrasive type chop saw. The discs can deflect so it doesn't always cut super strait. You will learn ways to minimize this issue though. Also the disc needs to have a certain amount of PSI on the metal before it can cut it. If the disc is in contact with to much surface at once it wont cut. This makes cutting large solid bars (1.5" thick or more), and thick plates (1/4" or more) that are too tall to be clamped vertically(so it can be cut on the edge), difficult to impossible to cut. Although most of the time you can get around this by rotating or moving the piece so it can start cutting in a different spot. If you have to cut a lot of heavy material you might want to get a cold saw instead.
