Not impressed
I got this a week ago. Doesn’t seem to have any power won’t even try to break things loose just quits trying. When tightening it seems to work better but still not what I’d expect out of an impact.

Best dang impact ever
I got mine and best dang cordless impact I've ever had in my hands!..hands down most power out of a 1/2 impact ever!

Dissatisfied
I bought this to loosen 1-1/8” bolts(580ft/lb torque) on Ariel compressors that the dcf900 could not do, unfortunately the dcf961 could not do it, after breaking the bolts with a hammer wrench and retorquing them we tried again and it couldn’t do it. I’m not sure if it’s a malfunctioning but on the TORQUE TECH CHANNEL those guys were breaking bolts torqued at 1500 lbs

Impact wrench sucks
Sucks. Couldn't even loosen the lugs on my Honda Civic. Yes I had a new 10ah battery. And tried tow batteries to make sure

Torque!?!
Got my hands on this puppy and now begins the end of anything frozen and rusted in place. Feels every bit like 3/4in. impact performance. Noticeably more powerful than the DCF900, albeit slower free speed. Removes German wheel and axle bolts way faster than any air gun. A must have in the rust belt. The angle of it helps distribute the weight back off your wrist. It is very chunky and fairly heavy. Oh, and it has a 'turbo' that kicks in at 5 seconds of continuous impacting! DeWalt, please make a 3/4in. version too.

Must have a 3/4” version
I went to a tool store the other to buy a dewalt 3/4” drive impact wrench. While browsing on dewalt products a guy from dewalt approach me to offer assistance. He offer this new 1/2” drive which is bigger, heavier, more torque than the current 3/4” drive. I told him I want it on 3/4” drive not on 1/2”. He took my details to get in touch when ever the 3/4” drive will come out. This high gun should be on 3/4” drive intended for large sockets.

3/4” Drive Please!!!
The 1/2” anvil is at its limit, while the tool may be able to handle it the sockets no longer can. Going through sockets like crazy, and sockets the size of what this tool can remove aren’t cheap. Also, for applications where losing a socket in an FME protected pipe or vessel is a concern 3/4” anvil with retaining rings is a must.
