DeWalt DCS565B 20V MAX Circular Saw, 6-1/2-Inch, Cordless, Tool Only

Replacing a 20volt porter cable saw. Much needed upgrade for me. I was able to get this with a 2 pack battery deal so was a good deal for me.

Great saw out of the box. Gone are the days of dragging around cords. Glides through pressure treated 2x with a standard 5ah xr battery. Have a dust port attachment has allowed me to do most of my cutting in the house, with very minimal mess to clean up afterwards. Very easy to make depth and angle adjustments. The depth adjustment marking were also very accurate. The electric brake darn near instantly stops the blade from spinning.

Purchased at a "big box store" had no blade or wrench so it was a paper weight. Too several trips, a waste of several days and gallons of gas.

I bought this saw about a year ago to replace the brushed version of this saw . Over all I like this saw alot . Compared to the brushed model this saw is lighter . It has a narrower motor allowing it to cut closer to walls , base trim , door, ect ect . The led light is a nice bonus but i find myself wishing it were brighter in those moments when I find myself relying on it . I use this saw every day at work and I work the heck out of it. I use it to cut everything from plywood ,2x4s and 2x6s, to cedar fence boards and scrap. It has been a really reliable tool. The one gripe I have with this saw is the fact that the older brushed model that this one replaced was noticeable more powerful. All in all thought. This has been a great tool

I bought this 3 months ago. Been working great for the small jobs I’m using it for.

I bought this recently and love the portability and power. My only complaint is the excessive wood chips that are not captured by the dust port, even with a vacuum attached. Every time I use it I think about replacing it with something that can contain the mess better. I replaced the stock blade with a higher tooth count (24) but it didn’t make a difference.

Updated review. I have many 20 volt Dewalt tools 11 and counting. They work well, no issues. I wrote a review about 2 weeks ago about a issue with my 6 1/2 inch saw. Bearing issue. This was on a Sunday morning. I received a email back from support. They asked for proof of purchase, pictures of saw,ect. 3 days later Dewalt ship me a replacement saw. Wow!!!!!

The trigger safety on this saw is very difficult to press with only one finger on one side. I have to awkwardly use both my thumb and index finger to press the safety. It should not be this difficult.

I purchased this saw about 2 years ago. Used very seldom. Worked great when needed. 2 days ago when when changing to a new blade for the fist time I noticed a small movement with the main motor housing bearing. This make the saw unusable. Very disappointed with this tool. In November 2022 I replaced all my woodworking cordless tools with new Dewalt brushless cordless tools. Can I buy a rebuild kit for this saw? I still gave 3 stars: Reason I still like the rest of my Dewalt tool. Maybe a just got a lemon on the 6 1/2 saw.

WHATS GOING ON HERE, so when i took mine out of the box i assumed there had been a mistake because it was certainly set up for a saw guide, including a set screw, but it was not included. I checked back with the store i bought it from, Lowes, and they checked and confirmed that one doesn't come with the saw, and they also did not have one for sale. So i went to ACE HW to see if their's can with guide. It also did not and they also did not have one for sale. So, DeWalt, where's the saw guide? Its a good saw but considering its size and versatility, a guide would be super nice to have with it since its setup for one.
