DeWalt DWHT81424 200 Lumen AAA Headlamp

Although the lamp turns on, it is not known how to use it, it has several modes and does not come manual, so sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

The headlamp is fine and motion sensor works.
The straps elastic bands didn't last a month time.
I have tighten the strap to the tightest limit possible and it won't stay on hardhat or head.
You can see the bands broke and coming through material.

There are no instructions with the headlamp and information that came with it said to go to DeWalt website for a manual. The website states that there is no manual. Sop now I have a headlamp with an extra strap attached to nothing.

Wife purchased 3 for me and I was impressed with the quality. The new hands free feature is great. I have had many and I mean many flashlights but this one is my go to light. I was so impressed with it I gave one away to a rancher down the road and he was also impressed by the quality and easy operation of the hands free use keep up the good work DEWALT...

I paid $25 for it at Lowe's. The light is good and the strap is good. The motion sensor didn't work properly. It didn't come on with motion and there was no user guide. I like the light, but I bought other head lamps that were just a good at a cheaper price. I think we just paid for the name.

Compact design: battery and light in one. Adjusting straps makes it very comfortable. No instructions, not even on-line. Push once is low, again its high, again its off. Motion feature turns light on/off with the wave of your hand, can be disabled to save battery. Run-time 24 hrs low, 6.5 hrs high, longer than the other guys. Twice as bright as previous model.

The GOOD!:
Owned for 5 months so far. Heavy user. This headlamp works great. The hand sense works as indicated in the product descriptions. I use rechargeable batteries on this. Hasn't failed me yet. Has a nice long range to be able to see for many feet away.
The BAD?:
The took some getting used to to notice if the hand sense was on or off. Turns out there is a light indicator to tell you it is active.
The sense function also turns on and off if you walk past almost any close obstruction. In my experience with the tool it doesn't matter what it is. As long as its close enough for the sensor to pick up. Can lead to a little frustration. PLUS side! It has a direct on and off. So If you don't like it... Just use the regular functions! and get over it. xD It's novel in its creation. but in practice doesn't always work as one may intend it to.

Bought about a year ago and not a problem. Very good on batteries.
Only 1 small issue.
No red light. When working at night the red allows your eyes to adjust much faster.
