Simpson STHD14RJ Installation Overview

1. Verify dimensions and alignment of the strap and supporting members.
2. Install before concrete pour using a StrapMate or similar holding device.
3. Nail strap from the bottom up and ensure it is plumb.
4. Strap may be bent one full cycle to aid wall placement.
5. Protect any exposed strap portions against corrosion.
6. Avoid installation where horizontal cold joints exist within embedment depth.
7. Ensure additional studs are attached to shearwall studs or posts as required.
