GearWrench Launches Three New MEGAMOD Sets for 2026

GearWrench just raised the bar for master mechanics' tool sets.

The MEGAMOD Station Series takes the original MEGAMOD concept and scales it up for larger shops and production environments. Instead of just tools in foam trays, you're getting complete workstation setups that include rolling cabinets with stainless steel worktops, hutches for overhead storage, side lockers, and utility carts. Each set also comes loaded with shop equipment like creepers, shop fans, jack stands, work lights, and even diagnostic tools.

All three sets feature GearWrench's premium modular foam storage trays in silver laminate or signature black with molten orange. The foam is solvent resistant, so it holds up to the chemicals and fluids you deal with every day. The MEGAMOD1858 is the flagship of the Station Series with 1,858 pieces across more than 10 tool categories. It's built around a 72" wide by 30" deep PRO mobile workbench with a stainless steel worktop and power tool rack. This is a serious workstation designed for production shops and large service bays.

The 1858 comes with the most storage of any MEGAMOD set: a 72" x 30" PRO mobile workbench with drawer system, a matching hutch, a large top locker, two small top lockers, two side lockers, a heavy duty utility cart (46" x 26" x 33"), and a mini toolbox (11" x 6" x 6") for portable tasks.

Sockets (1025 pieces): Chrome sockets in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive for both SAE and metric. Bit sockets for all three drive sizes. Hi-Viz impact and chrome sockets that make it easy to spot the size you need. Plus 1/2" drive protector impact sockets for wheel work.

This is where the Station Series really stands out. 

The 1858 includes: 1/2" drive 120XP flex head electronic torque wrench with angle, creeper, 24" two-speed shop fan, two 6-ton ratcheting jack stands, swivel mechanics seat (adjustable 18" to 22"), mobile work table (adjustable 35" to 48"), built-in motion sensor activation light for the workbench, 1000 and 2000 lumen rechargeable area lights, rechargeable pen light, 10-1/2" flex head rechargeable light, 18" x 12" magnetic tool mat, and a large ultra comfort kneeling pad.

Electronics (2 pieces): 2000A battery jump starter and a professional bi-directional diagnostic scan tool.

The MEGAMOD1629 packs 1,629 pieces into a 72" wide by 24" deep rolling cabinet system. It's a solid choice for shops that want serious capacity without the footprint of the 1858's mobile workbench setup.

You get a 72" x 24" rolling tool cabinet with 18 drawers and stainless steel worktop, matching hutch, side locker, a heavy duty utility cart (40" x 17" x 33"), and a mini toolbox (11" x 6" x 6").

Sockets (847 pieces): Full chrome socket coverage in all three drive sizes, SAE and metric. Bit sockets for all drives. Impact sockets plus 1/2" drive protector impact sockets. Note: This set does not include Hi-Viz sockets.

Wrenches (222 pieces): Long pattern 12-point combination wrenches (standard finish, not Hi-Viz). 72-tooth ratcheting wrenches in standard and stubby lengths. Specialty ratcheting wrenches.

The MEGAMOD1331 brings 1,331 pieces built around a 52" wide by 18" deep roller cabinet system. It's the most compact of the Station Series but still eclipses the previous MEGAMOD1268 in total piece count and capability.

• Ratcheting Wrench Tooth Count: The MEGAMOD1858 features 90-tooth ratcheting wrenches for a tighter 4-degree swing arc. The MEGAMOD1629 and MEGAMOD1331 both use 72-tooth ratcheting wrenches with a 5-degree arc.
• Hi-Viz Tools: The MEGAMOD1858 includes Hi-Viz sockets AND Hi-Viz combination wrenches. The MEGAMOD1331 has Hi-Viz combination wrenches but standard sockets. The MEGAMOD1629 uses standard finish tools throughout (no Hi-Viz).
• 120XP Ratchets with Stubby Socket Set: Included in the MEGAMOD1858 and MEGAMOD1331. Not included in the MEGAMOD1629.
• 184-Piece General Mechanics To-Go Kit: Included in the MEGAMOD1858 and MEGAMOD1629. Not included in the MEGAMOD1331.
• Jack Stands: The MEGAMOD1858 and MEGAMOD1629 each include two 6-ton ratcheting jack stands. The MEGAMOD1331 does not include jack stands.
• Lighting: The MEGAMOD1858 has a built-in motion sensor activation light for the workbench. The MEGAMOD1629 substitutes a rechargeable foldable underhood light. The MEGAMOD1331 relies on the standard rechargeable light package without either specialty light.
