Baileigh's BP-5060 NC hydraulic sheet metal press brake is our most popular model for the small to medium fabricator. It has a very rigid electro welded frame of solid steel plate offering smooth production runs that improves accuracy of the machine. The upper beam is actuated downward by two heavy industrial hydraulic cylinders that are encoder controlled for precision. The upper beam rides on a hardened track that is coupled together by three axis of bearings. Unique to Baileigh press brake machines, for further accuracy the beam has a parallel mechanism that provides forced synchronization of the top and bottom die. This ensures better quality bends across the entire width of the machine. This sheet metal bender is a two axis NC (numerically controlled) unit that uses encoders on the upper beam and the back gauge. Their positions are displayed on their own DRO (digital readouts). Fine tuning of both axis is by independent hand wheels. The back gauge has manual metered adjustments to the height of the back gauge as well. Like all of our NC press brake machines it comes with guards with a six sensor safety curtain, front material rests and foot pedal controls. The top beams pressure can be regulated and the up position can be adjusted for less or more travel in seconds. There downward hold on the beam can be held by a simple timer. Finally there are three ways to run the machine. The jog function is there to assist with easy set up. Manual function is for those jobs where the operator wants more control. Finally the automatic function is meant for production scenarios. All in all this hydraulic sheet metal press brake is extremely well built, very easy to use, and will offer decades of service to any fabrication shop. Included with this machine is a set of production style single-vee tooling.
