Bosch Cobalt M42 metal drill bits are engineered with upgraded M42 alloy containing 8% cobalt for up to 10X longer life than standard bits. This jobber-length 1/2 in. x 6 in. bit is built for high-heat applications and features a thick web-helix design for fast material removal and added stability. A split point helps start holes cleanly, while the three-flat shank improves grip for drilling stainless steel, cast iron, titanium, aluminum, and other hard or abrasive metals.
