Unexpected disappointment
I bought this tool as an upgrade for my workshop. My choice was based on the DeWalt brand which is known for its quality and dependability. Wrong on both counts. It jams more than the 40 year old Duo-Fast stapler it replaced. Past the return date so now I'm stuck with a useless tool. I will definitely think twice before choosing another DeWalt brand item.

I have to be doing something wrong
I think that I'm not using this tool correctly. The staples don't have any pressure holding them in place, and slide around inside. I came to the site to download the manual to see what I was doing wrong and there isn't one. It can't possibly work correctly with the staples sliding around inside the feeder.

I bought this Dewalt staple gun because I left my stapler at home and needed to staple wire mesh to a floor at a customer's home. After dozens of attempts, I used ardor nails I had with me. At least half the staples jammed, bent or would not penetrate the 1/4" plywood under the mesh. At home I was installing plastic vapor barrier in my garage. Once or twice, the Dewalt staple gun fired two staples in a row, then bent staples still inside the gun and jammed. Overall, I estimate 35 out of 100 attempts worked properly. Almost a total waste of money. I say almost because I had to keep the door open for ventilation from the insulation. The Dewalt staple gun with two power settings (Styrofoam and jello settings) made a perfect door stop. I recommend your desktop paper stapler instead of buying a Dewalt stapler. Unless you need a $75.00 door stop. Your review won't let me include a photo. Trust me, it's a doorstop because it's not heavy enough to be an ⚓

Misfiring and no internal diagram to clean
I have had this tacker for awhile. The misfires are frequent but it is what it is. I would like to clean the internal components or get an electric one but I have yet to find one.

DeWalt has never failed me, until now. I bought this to do a simple upholstery job. It jammed repeatedly. I went online to find out if others have had any issues and found that there were several people complaining of the same thing. YouTube had a helpful video about how to adjust the two pressure levels. But I still couldn't get it to work. It was returned.

I had posted earlier about issues I had with the tool. Within minutes I was contacted by a Dewalt Customer Service representative. After a couple quick email, I was told a replacement would be sent and would arrive within 3 weeks. I received the replacement writhing 5 business days!
I haven’t had a chance to use the new one yet, but I really appreciate the quick response to the issue.

I purchased this a couple years ago. I had issues within a month after. I have used the recommended staples but the gun would jam up. I finally figured a work around and it’s been ok for most part till today. Somehow a row of staples became caught under the loading assembly. I finally managed to dialog them but in the process the tension spring became unhooked. I can’t find anyway to take it apart to reconnect the spring - if I can.
I will play around trying to get it reattached but it will probably hit the garbage. The time I have spent trying to get it to work, well if I was working during that time, I could have bought many more.
It’s too bad as I have other dewalt tools and they have always been reliable.

I don't believe it's anywhere near as bad as people say. I've had 1 jam while going through about 1500 staples, and it was in a knot so I blame myself for it. Most of the time on knots it'll mangle the staple without really going in but shouldn't jam.
It does seem to lack power, you can get results but with more effort than I hoped. Going into SPF studs with 1/2" staples it was good ~90% of the time, which I'm happy with. OSB sheathing I'd say 70%, though it's just better to use a hammer tacker on sheets anyway. It's requires quite a bit of force pushing on it so if you're reaching with it expect poor results. My dad hates it for that reason.
I only used nails to make some birdhouses from 1/4" plywood and it worked perfectly.

This stapler should handle corners like Arrow T25
Nice stapler with awesome features, but it's missing one thing that is very important to me. It's missing the ability to staple cables to corners like Arrow's T25. I hope this model is revised or the next model can handle corners like stapling white wire to the corner of a white door frame so the cable is unnoticeable. I've stapled cables indoors and they look nicely done when fastened to the corners of doors and walls, or to the edge of baseboards and closet door frames. If this stapler could handle corners like Arrow's T25 then I won't see any reason why someone would purchase some other stapler.

I bought this gun because of the brand, so when i got 15 misfired staples in a row i was quite disappointed. Then i read the reviews, adjusted the settings ( set to heavy duty though the staples were not) and it worked perfectly. I think we’ll get along just fine :)
