2-1/8 inch deep with 4-in square boxes with wood spike vertical brackets and (6) 1/2-in & (3) 1/2 in-3/4 in side knockouts and (3) 1/2-in & (2) 1/2 in-3/4 in bottom knockouts are used when 4-in square boxes must be mounted directly to wood or metal studs. Square boxes are used to bring power to a number of electrical devices where multiple conductor runs are split in two or more directions. Garvin's 4-in square boxes with attached brackets allow a quick easy installation and keep the boxes upright for an effort less conduit connection.
