Red 3-1/2 inch deep 4-in square junction boxes with (4) 1/2-in - 3/4-in (2) 3/4-in (2) 1-inch side knockouts and (2) 1/2-in & (2) 3/4-in bottom knockouts are installed in walls and ceilings where extra depth is needed for dimmers cameras speakers strobes signals and other electrical and electronic devices. Their red color easily distinguishes them as fire alarm circuit boxes. The raised ground helps ensure a positive grounding connection.
