On/off button failed after a a few months!
On/Off Button issues after only a few uses....if I take the cover off, I can sometimes get it to on but I have to remove a battery to shut off. Voltage detection, LED both work

Looks great!
2200-20. Second one in two months thats gone bad with no physical signs of damage. Tried the "change the batteries" trick. Still doesn't beep indicating live voltage. The only milwaukee tool i refuse to use ever again. Back to fluke i go

Be Very Careful. Mine Permanently Malfunctioned
This voltage tester should be removed from the shelves. It nearly cost me a good shock. Within a month of owning, only 2nd time using it. I was half way completed installing 6 inch wafer lights in the kitchen. When I started the job, it worked perfectly, half way through, I used it, the light was green and gave no indication of a live wire, so I proceeded to cut thru a 14-3 Romex and bam, pop, smoke and toasted my Milwaukee wire cutters, smoked my dimmer switch and scared the crap out of me, but luckily I escaped without injury. I replaced the batteries and it didn't resolve the issue. It stays on with the green light but will not detect any voltage whatsoever. Highly disappointed considering I've been gradually replacing all of my Ryobi tools with Milwaukee tools and now I question that choice.

Not reliable.
Purchased 2 years ago and was working fine.
Over the last 6 months it stopped beeping and 2 days ago just died. Installed new batteries, nothing.

i would not recommend to anyone. .disappointed
just bought the voltage detector 2200-20. right out of the package. cannot say im pleased at all. took the cover off and installed the batteries the correct way and it comes on but does not detect voltage. my other 2 one fluke and one Kline both work on tested cords and outlets...pretty disappointed being a major Milwaukee guy

Simple, compact, and works great!!
This little tool is so useful when working with electrical. It’s very light and compact and does a great job of detecting voltage. Simple in design and easy to use!!

Awesome device
How could you rewire an old house without this amazing device? I couldn't imagine not owning this tool.
