Simpson Strong-Tie BVLZ-KT1 Description
The Simpson Strong-Tie BVLZ brick veneer ledger connector provides a code-compliant solution for attaching a wood ledger to a house with a brick veneer exterior, eliminating the need to remove or replace large sections of brick.

Simpson Strong-Tie BVLZ-KT1 Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners provided with the connector.
- Align the installation guide with the mortar joint and drill through the center hole.
- Drill two 40° upward-angled holes using the guide.
- Mark and drill corresponding holes on the ledger board.
- Thread the compression strut into the ledger plate and attach plates to the ledger.
- Install the ledger board against the brick veneer and secure with screws.
- Rotate compression struts until they bear tightly against the framing.
