The Simpson Strong-Tie BVLZ-KT4 Brick Veneer Ledger Connector Kit provides a code-compliant solution for securely attaching a deck ledger to a house with a brick veneer exterior.

Simpson BVLZ-KT4 Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners provided in the kit
- Align the center hole of the installation guide with the mortar joint
- Drill through the center hole using a hammer drill and a 1 1/8" masonry drill bit
- Drill two 40° upward-angled holes using the guide
- Mark placement of each plate on the ledger board
- Thread the compression strut into the back of the ledger plate
- Install plates on the ledger and attach with Strong-Drive SD Connector screws
- Place the ledger board against the brick veneer and install Strong-Drive SDWH Timber-Hex HDG screws
