Simpson Strong-Tie CBH2.37X5.5-R10 Installation Overview

  1. Ensure a gap of 1/8" to 1/4" between carried and carrying members to prevent wood binding.
  2. Use fire sealant at the CBH connection location for fire resistance.
  3. Predrill lead holes for SDS screws if necessary.
  4. Rout carried and/or carrying member according to application needs.
  5. Install CBH plates using all specified SDS fasteners.
  6. Mate carried member to carrying member as per installation illustrations.
  7. Avoid cambered beams and ensure proper dimensions for glulam members.
