The Simpson Strong-Tie HDUE17-SDS4.5 is a predeflected holdown designed for high load capacity and reduced deflection under load.

Simpson Strong-Tie HDUE17-SDS4.5 Installation Overview
- Set the correct size cast-in-place anchor bolt
- Place the HDUE holdown over the anchor bolt
- Install all Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector Screws perpendicular into the wood member
- Install the remaining screws, including both perpendicular and angled screws, into all holes in the wood member
- Place and orientate the crescent washer over the anchor bolt
- Anchor bolt nut should be finger tight plus 1/3 to 1/2 turn with a hand wrench
