Simpson Strong-Tie HETAL20Z Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines.
- Embed the anchor 5 1/16 inches into the concrete or masonry.
- For mislocated truss anchors, provide a shim if the gap is between 1/8 inch and 1 1/2 inches. For larger gaps, install a new anchor.
- Ensure the lowest four nail holes are filled for lateral loads.
- Straps do not need to be wrapped over the rafter/truss unless specified.
