The HM9 Hurricane Tie Kit provides a secure connection between trusses or rafters and masonry walls, designed to resist wind and seismic forces.
Simpson Strong-Tie HM9KT Includes
- (20) HM9 connectors
- (80) 1/4 in. x 1-1/2 in. Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws
- (100) 1/4 in. x 2-1/4 in. Titen Turbo screws

Simpson Strong-Tie HM9KT Installation Overview
- Use all specified fasteners as per guidelines
- Attach using Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws and Titen Turbo screws
- Ensure Titen Turbo screws and Titen HD screw anchors are not exposed to the exterior environment
- Attach to grouted concrete block with a minimum one #5 rebar horizontal in the course
- Hurricane ties do not replace solid blocking
