Simpson VGT Description
The Simpson VGT Variable Girder Tiedown is a high-capacity solution for girder trusses, designed for retrofit applications and high-wind construction.
Simpson VGT Includes
- (16) 1/4 in. x 3 in. Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws
- (1) Predeflected crescent washer

- Available with one flange concealed for attachment to trusses with no tail

Simpson VGT Installation Overview
- Install washer component so top of washer is horizontal and parallel with top plate of wall
- Can be installed on roof pitches up to 8/12 or on a bottom chord designed to transfer the load
- Screw holes are configured to allow for double installation on a two-ply (minimum) truss
- When installing on trusses with no overhangs, specify VGTR/L
